Music

Grace first held the clarinet at seven years old and quickly fell in love with the clarinet’s ability to convey intricate complexities of human emotions through its sound.

As a soloist, she won the first prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition and performed at Solitar Hall, University of Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria, and Carnegie Hall, NY, in the summer of 2022 and 2023, respectively. She was selected as a soloist of the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic the fall of 2022. She won the first and second prizes in the American Protege International Concerto Competition for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021. Additionally, in 5th grade, she was invited to the pre-college music program, at Manhattan School of Music in New York.

As a member of the music community in Los Angeles, Grace participates in the Colburn honor chamber ensemble and the Colburn Sinfonietta at Colburn School this year where she is playing Beethoven Trio Op. 11, Beethoven Symphony No. 5 C minor,  Debussy Prelude to "The Afternoon of a Faun" and Mozart The Marriage of Figaro. As a first clarinet, she performs at the All-State Honor Symphony Band and Harvard Westlake Middle School Symphony.

Grace also serves as a leader of Cadence for Cause, a classical music community service club at her school.
